With Disney's live-action Moana hitting theaters, the character is showing up all over the Disney parks in new ways. If you're planning a trip and want to catch her, here's what's actually happening across the resorts.
Walt Disney World
Moana's got a solid presence at Disney World right now. You can experience Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana at EPCOT, a self-guided outdoor trail that explores water in a way that connects to the film. It's got two paths: one stays dry, and one lets you get wet if you want.

You'll find Moana meeting guests at EPCOT's World Nature and at Character Landing in Disney's Animal Kingdom. She also appears in the nighttime shows: look for her in Fantasmic! at Disney's Hollywood Studios and in Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away at Magic Kingdom, which features characters from Moana, Peter Pan, Frozen, and more.

At Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, there are Moana-inspired rooms and an Island Tower splash pad with life-sized sculptures. The Grand Ceremonial House has a second-floor shop stocked with Moana merch.

Food-wise, you can grab a Motunui Ube Sundae (ube soft-serve with tropical fruits, coconut, raspberry crumbs, and macadamia) at the Anandapur Ice Cream Truck in Animal Kingdom, and a Heihei Delight (pineapple and coconut blend with SKITTLES POP'd candy) at The Land Cart in EPCOT.

Later this year, The Magic of Disney Animation opens at Disney's Hollywood Studios, where you'll be able to learn to sketch Moana in a class called "Olaf Draws!"
Disney Cruise Line
If you're cruising, Moana's featured across multiple ships. The Disney Treasure has Disney The Tale of Moana, a Broadway-style stage show. On the Disney Adventure, you can catch Moana: Call of the Sea at Wayfinder Bay (arrive early, since space is limited), plus Gramma Tala's Kitchen, a themed dining spot with South Pacific decor.
All four newest ships (Disney Adventure, Disney Destiny, Disney Treasure, and Disney Wish) feature Disney Seas the Adventure on the first night, which includes Elsa, Moana, and Merida in an exclusive medley.
The Disney Treasure also has Heihei Café, a casual dining experience themed around the rooster. Moana appears at character greetings across the fleet.
Disneyland Resort
At Disneyland, Moana appears in Wondrous Journeys, the nighttime spectacular that runs through August 20, 2026. You'll also catch her in select World of Color shows at Disney California Adventure, including World of Color Happiness! (through August 9, 2026) and World of Color - ONE (starting August 10, 2026).

At Disney California Adventure, the Animation Academy in the Disney Animation Building teaches you how to draw Heihei and Pua. Classes run every 30 minutes with no reservation needed.
There's a fun detail on Main Street, U.S.A. at Disneyland: an animated window display outside the Emporium features Moana, Maui, Pua, Heihei, Te Fiti, and hidden Kakamora.

Hong Kong Disneyland
Hong Kong's got some standout Moana experiences. Wayfinders' Table is a new restaurant featuring dishes like Voyagers' Chicken Naan Pizza, Massaman Prawn Curry, and Seafood Laksa. In Adventureland, you can watch Moana: A Homecoming Celebration, a stage show with music, dancing, puppetry, and storytelling. Meet Moana at select times in Adventureland, and look for her in Momentous, the nighttime spectacular with 3D projection mapping and fireworks.

Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa
At Aulani in Hawaii, you can meet Moana and participate in Wayfinding with Moana, an activity for ages 4-12 at Aunty's Beach House where kids learn about Polynesian voyaging and craft their own miniature canoe. Check the Daily 'Iwa or Aulani App for character greeting times.
