Disney's bringing a massive pavilion to D23 2026 that's basically a showcase of what Imagineers are working on across all the parks right now. It's called Imagineering: Horizons, and it's the biggest pavilion in Imagineering history, with over 150 Imagineers staffing it throughout the event.
The pavilion is organized around a central stage area called the Promenade of Progress, where you'll see concept art and models from active projects all over Disney's resort parks. There'll be more than 30 Imagineer presentations happening on Center Stage, which is actually designed to look like the old 1967 Tomorrowland Terrace Stage (they're calling it the Tom Morrow-land Terrace Stage as a nod to Tom Morrow 2.0, the host of "Imagineer That!" on YouTube).
What You'll Actually See
Magic Kingdom projects on display include new costumes and maquettes from the reimagined Carousel of Progress, plus a huge 19-by-19-foot model of the upcoming Piston Peak National Park area that'll show off both attractions.
Disney's Animal Kingdom will have a look inside the new Encanto attraction coming to Tropical Americas, along with Audio-Animatronics figures and a model of the Indiana Jones temple façade. You'll also see character sculpts for the carousel.
Over at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Monstropolis will have mood boards, sketches, and painted maquettes of monster creatures. There's also going to be a look at the new Villains-themed land with tree sculpts that hint at the visual style.
Disney California Adventure is getting a lot of attention here. The pavilion will show off models and queue renderings for the new Coco attraction, plus there's a special interactive element: you can write down a memory at the pavilion, and those cards will be transformed into soil that gets embedded in floral planters at the actual attraction's queue entrance. It's a nice touch. You'll also see the Avatar destination models.
The pavilion has a whole section on Disneyland Resort projects in development, with R&D stuff like the Anzellan Creature Workshop (Star Wars-inspired) and Hugo's Sweets & Fizz, a new animatronic food truck for the Star Wars area.
International Parks
Hong Kong Disneyland's new Avengers Pavilion attraction will have its exterior model on display. Shanghai Disneyland is getting custom treatment too: local street artists created a Spider-Man mural just for the pavilion, and you'll be able to watch a time-lapse of it being made.
Tokyo Disneyland is bringing models and renders for the Wreck-It Ralph attraction (the first Disney Parks attraction in that world), which has 12 brand new confectionary characters made just for it. They're also showing off the new Space Mountain design with a ride vehicle maquette.
At Disneyland Paris, you'll get a close look at The Lion King attraction coming to Disney Adventure World, including a black light study model so you can see what the ride experience will actually feel like.
