What's Coming to Droid Depot
Starting August 13, 2026, Droid Depot in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland will start selling a new interactive Ewok toy. This is the first of three new Batuu Adventure Buddies that'll roll out over time. The other two buddies will arrive later at Disneyland, and the full collection will eventually hit Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World.

These Ewoks aren't just plush toys. They've got LCD eyes that move, motorized faces that change expression, and sounds including giggles, chatter, and Ewokese. They're also interactive: tap the head once or twice on the belly for random reactions. Three quick head taps trigger two special animations. The Endor Dance Party makes the eyes pulse rhythmically while you hear drumming and Ewokese chanting. Nearby Ewoks will sometimes join in. Forest Call Chain (triggered by a rapid double belly tap) makes your Ewok scout call out, and other toys nearby can respond in their own languages.
You can add optional gear sets for extra personalization and play features. The Endor Gear Set comes with a spear, horn, grilled fish, and poncho. The Mandalore Gear Set has a Mythosaur axe, armor, and cape. The Batuu Gear Set includes a freighter model, tool, Ronto Wrap, and poncho. Food, toys, and tools from these sets clip into the Ewok's left hand and trigger unique sounds and animations.

When you pick out your Ewok, a cast member helps you choose it and any accessories you want at a dedicated wall bay inside the shop. Then there's a special activation moment where your new friend comes to life for the first time.
Building Your Own Droid Still Works the Same Way
If you'd rather build a classic droid, that experience is still going strong. Inside Droid Depot, you'll see parts, chips, and manuals scattered around, and cast members walk you through the process. You choose from four droid models:
- BB-Series: dome, connection plate, body sphere, and motivator
- R-Series: dome, body, center leg, and side legs
- C-Series: dome, body, center wheel, and side legs
- A-LT-Series: dome, body, and side legs

After activation, you can buy voice chips, more accessories, upgrade kits, or pre-made premium droids to customize further.
Your Droid Can Interact With Batuu
One of the coolest parts of owning a droid or Ewok from Droid Depot is that they're interactive throughout the land. Your new friend will respond to certain locations around Black Spire Outpost, including spots near Ronto Roasters and the A-Wing. They react to their surroundings and what's happening around them.

Reservations are no longer required at Disneyland. If you're heading to Disney World, check DisneyWorld.com for available dates at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
