Get Ready to Play: Bluey’s Best Day Ever Opens March 22 at Disneyland

Bluey’s Best Day Ever opens March 22 at Disneyland’s Fantasyland Theatre, transforming the venue into Bluey’s school with live stage shows featuring Bluey and Bingo, character meet-and-greets with the Grannies and Unicorse, and themed food at Troubadour Tavern. The limited-time event brings the popular Australian animated series to life with immersive experiences based on the hit Disney+ show.

There’s something magical happening at the Fantasyland Theatre this spring, and if you’ve got little ones (or just love a good game of Keepy Uppy), you’ll want to circle March 22 on your calendar. That’s the day Bluey’s Best Day Ever officially opens at Disneyland Resort, bringing the Heeler family’s infectious energy to Anaheim for the very first time as a dedicated park experience.

The countdown has already begun, with both Disney and Bluey’s official Instagram accounts sharing a delightful sketch by artist Katana Dirk that captures the playful spirit of what’s to come. And trust us, this isn’t just a standard character greeting—Disney is transforming the entire Fantasyland Theatre into the grounds of Bluey’s school, creating an immersive world that feels like you’ve stepped directly into the animated series.

Throughout the day, Bluey and her little sister Bingo will appear live on stage alongside a troupe of comedic actors and musicians, bringing the show’s signature humor and heart to life in ways we’ve never seen at the resort. But the fun doesn’t stop when the curtain falls. Guests can wander through a school fair setup where they’ll encounter fan-favorite characters including the chaotic Grannies, the unpredictable Chattermax, and yes, even Unicorse (keep an eye on your snacks).

When hunger strikes, Troubadour Tavern will be serving up themed treats that promise to be far more appealing than a duck cake disaster. While Disney is keeping specific menu details under wraps for now, the location choice suggests we’re in for some true Bluey-inspired comfort food.

For the uninitiated, Bluey has become something of a phenomenon since debuting on ABC Kids in Australia back in 2018. Created by Joe Brumm and produced by Ludo Studio, the series follows six-year-old Blue Heeler puppy Bluey, her sister Bingo, and parents Bandit and Chilli through everyday adventures that somehow feel extraordinary. After finding a massive audience through Disney Channel, Disney Junior, and Disney+—where it ranks among the most-streamed children’s programs—the Heeler family has already made appearances at domestic Disney Parks and aboard Disney Cruise Line ships. But this marks the first time they’re getting their own dedicated land-style takeover at Disneyland.

Whether you’re planning to perfect your flossing skills with Bingo or simply want to soak up the joy of a proper Bluey adventure, this limited-time experience promises to deliver all the warmth and imagination that’s made the show a global sensation. We’ll see you at the school fair!
